Punjab CM describes BB as symbol of democracyPunjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Sunday paid tribute to former prime minister Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto on her 73rd birth anniversary, describing her as a symbol of democracy, political stability and women’s empowerment in Pakistan.

In her message, the CM said that Benazir Bhutto Shaheed rendered remarkable services for the promotion of democratic values and strengthening of democratic institutions in the country. She added that Benazir Bhutto occupies a distinguished place in Pakistan’s political history and continues to inspire political workers and democratic forces across the nation.

CM Maryam Nawaz said that Benazir Bhutto played a pivotal role in ensuring greater participation of women in politics and public affairs. She observed that her leadership opened new avenues for women and encouraged them to actively contribute to national development and decision-making processes.

The CM said that Benazir Bhutto’s courage, determination and unwavering commitment to democracy were unparalleled. Despite facing numerous challenges and hardships, she remained steadfast in her struggle for democratic principles and the supremacy of the Constitution, she added.

CM Maryam Nawaz said that the legacy of Benazir Bhutto continues to serve as a guiding force for those striving for democratic stability, political tolerance and public service. She said that her contributions to Pakistan’s political landscape would always be remembered with respect and admiration.

The CM prayed for the elevated ranks of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and reaffirmed the importance of upholding democratic values and strengthening democratic institutions in accordance with the vision for which she struggled throughout her political career.

 

Arts and Music

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Sunday said that music possesses the unique ability to express every human emotion, whether joy or sorrow, separation or reunion, and serves as a universal language connecting people across cultures and borders.

In her message on World Music Day, the chief minister paid tribute to musicians and artists for their contributions to promoting culture, harmony and creative expression. She said that Pakistani artists have played a significant role in introducing Eastern music to the international stage and earning global recognition through their talent and dedication.

CM Maryam Nawaz said that music serves as an ambassador of peace, carrying messages of love, tolerance and understanding beyond geographical boundaries. She said that the power of music brings people closer together and fosters mutual respect among diverse communities.

 

Father’s Day

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has paid rich tribute to fathers for their unconditional love, protection and dedication towards their children.

In her special message on Father’s Day, the CM said that a father is a source of strength, guidance and inspiration who plays a vital role in shaping the character and future of the next generation.

Saluting every father who fulfils the rights of his children and ensures their well-being, she particularly appreciated fathers who instill confidence, courage and a sense of self-worth in their children, especially daughters, enabling them to pursue their dreams and face life’s challenges with determination.

The CM said a father resembles a protective shade, enduring hardships, scorching heat and storms himself while providing comfort, security and support to his children. “A great father not only teaches his children how to live but also how to live with dignity and hold their heads high,” she said.

CM Maryam Nawaz said that fathers serve as guiding lights for their children, illuminating their path during difficult times and helping them navigate life with wisdom and confidence. She observed that the values of self-respect, perseverance and courage are often learned from a father’s example and guidance.

Sharing her personal sentiments, the CM said her father, former prime minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, has always been her mentor, leader, teacher and source of strength. She added that his lap was her first school and his presence remains the strongest support in her life. She said the love, affection and personality of Nawaz Sharif have profoundly influenced her thinking and political journey, adding that he taught her the importance of self-respect, resilience and confidence in the face of challenges.

The CM said that a father’s love and prayers continue to protect and inspire his children throughout their lives. She prayed that every child be blessed with a caring and supportive father who encourages them to dream big and gives them the confidence to transform those dreams into reality.
