Nick Jonas has shared a dramatic story about how a frightening flight incident helped him form a lasting friendship with actor Glen Powell.
During an appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark, Jonas recalled that the incident happened nearly a decade ago while he and Powell were traveling from Las Vegas with a group of friends. He described the experience as unsettling after the aircraft encountered a technical issue shortly after takeoff.

According to Jonas, the problem involved a loss of power, which created an alarming situation onboard. Although he admitted he was not aware of the technical details at the time, he said it quickly became clear that something was seriously wrong.
Jonas also joked about Glen Powell’s aviation skills at the time, noting that the actor was still early in his career and had not yet reached the level of experience he later portrayed in aviation-related roles on screen. He added humorously that the situation might have been different if it had happened later in Powell’s career.

The actor-singer said the true severity of the incident only became apparent after the plane landed safely. He recalled seeing one of the pilots visibly shaken, saying the pilot was in tears after the landing, which made him realize how serious the situation had been.
Jonas said the experience left a strong impression on him and the group. He mentioned that both passengers and crew appeared anxious during the flight, and the tension only eased once they were safely on the ground.

Despite the frightening circumstances, Jonas said the incident ultimately strengthened his friendship with Powell, and the two have remained close since then.
Jonas is currently promoting his upcoming projects, including Power Ballad and Jumanji: Open World, while continuing to balance his music and acting career.
