According to security sources, the coordinated operations were carried out in Mastung, Nushki, Zehri, Khuzdar and Kech districts as part of ongoing counter-terrorism efforts aimed at dismantling militant networks operating in the province.

The operations targeted suspected hideouts and locations linked to security threats. During several engagements, security personnel exchanged heavy fire with armed militants. Officials stated that 17 militants were killed during the operations, describing the outcome as a major blow to the group’s operational capabilities.

Authorities said the actions were based on actionable intelligence, allowing forces to strike multiple targets simultaneously. The operations were designed to disrupt networks believed to be involved in planning and facilitating attacks in Balochistan.

Following the clearance of the targeted sites, security forces recovered a large quantity of weapons, ammunition and explosives. Several improvised explosive devices (IEDs), reportedly prepared for future attacks, were also seized during the operations.

Security officials said the recovered material would undergo further examination to help investigators identify broader militant networks, support structures and operational links. The findings are expected to assist law enforcement agencies in future counter-terrorism measures.

Meanwhile, sanitisation and clearance operations remain underway in the affected districts to ensure that no remaining threats are present. Security forces continue to conduct searches in surrounding areas as part of the wider campaign.

Officials reiterated their commitment to maintaining pressure on militant groups and preventing future attacks. They added that the ongoing operations are being conducted under the framework of “Azm-e-Istehkam”, the national counter-terrorism strategy approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan.
