
Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and the Gulf Cooperation Council have strongly condemned recent Iranian missile and drone attacks targeting Kuwait, warning that such actions could significantly increase tensions across the Gulf region. The statements came amid growing concerns about regional security and the potential impact of further military escalation on stability and diplomatic efforts.
The Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry described the attacks as a direct threat to the country’s security, sovereignty, and national interests. Officials stated that the strikes violated international law and the United Nations Charter while also endangering citizens, critical infrastructure, and important national facilities throughout the country.

Furthermore, Kuwait stressed that it reserves the right to respond in self-defence under international law. The ministry emphasized that any attack on Kuwaiti territory or strategic installations would be treated as a serious challenge to national sovereignty and security, underscoring the country’s determination to protect its people and institutions.
Saudi Arabia also issued a strong condemnation of the missile and drone strikes, describing them as an assault on Kuwait’s sovereignty. Riyadh stated that the attacks represented a clear breach of international legal principles and warned that such actions could undermine ongoing efforts aimed at preserving peace and stability in the region.

In addition, Saudi authorities reaffirmed their full support for Kuwait and its people during the crisis. The kingdom stressed that regional security depends on mutual respect for sovereignty, adherence to international law, and collective efforts to prevent further escalation that could threaten broader Gulf stability.
Meanwhile, the Gulf Cooperation Council echoed similar concerns and expressed complete solidarity with Kuwait. GCC Secretary-General Jassim Mohammed Al-Badawi warned that the attacks risk worsening regional tensions and called on the international community to take effective measures against actions that endanger security and stability across the Gulf.
