Sara Ahmed has said that relations between Pakistan and China have reached new heights under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir.

The Punjab lawmaker was part of a Pakistani political delegation visiting China. During her address, she thanked the International Department of the Communist Party of China for hosting the delegation and organising international youth exchange programmes.

She stated that such initiatives play an important role in bringing young people from both countries closer together and promoting mutual understanding and harmony.

Sara Ahmed emphasised the need for joint research projects and technological cooperation between Pakistani and Chinese youth. She said academic partnerships and student engagement could further strengthen the longstanding friendship between the two countries.

The MPA also highlighted the role of Pakistani students studying in Chinese universities, describing them as ambassadors of goodwill between Islamabad and Beijing.

According to Sara Ahmed, the younger generation can play a vital role in promoting peace, countering extremism, and contributing toward a brighter and more stable future for the region.

She added that the enduring friendship between Pakistan and China continues to serve as a symbol of regional stability, economic progress, and shared prosperity.

Pakistan and China maintain close cooperation across multiple sectors, including trade, infrastructure, education, technology, and defence. Bilateral ties have further expanded in recent years through initiatives linked to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and educational exchange programmes.

The event also reflected ongoing efforts by both countries to deepen people-to-people contacts and encourage greater collaboration between future leaders and scholars.
