Drugs worth Rs45 million recovered on accused ‘Pinky’ tip-off

Published on: May 16, 2026 11:45 AM

Police in Karachi have recovered drugs worth more than Rs45 million following information provided by a detained suspect identified as Anmol, also known as “Pinky,” officials confirmed.

According to police sources, a raid was conducted at a flat in the A-One Complex on Abul Hassan Isphani Road after the accused pointed out the location during interrogation. During the operation, officers recovered a large quantity of cocaine, which authorities said is valued at over Rs45 million in the local market.

A separate case has also been registered against the accused at the Sachal police station as investigations into the broader drug network continue.

Earlier, police in Karachi’s Garden area had arrested the same suspect in a major operation targeting drug trafficking. That raid reportedly led to the recovery of narcotics worth millions of rupees, along with other controlled substances.

During initial interrogation, the accused allegedly made several claims regarding the operations of the drug network, including statements about large-scale distribution and alleged corruption involving law enforcement officials. These claims are being examined as part of the ongoing investigation.

Authorities have not independently verified the accused’s statements, and officials say multiple aspects of the case are under scrutiny, including possible supply chains and distribution routes.

Police officials stated that efforts are underway to identify other individuals linked to the network and to determine the full scale of drug trafficking activities associated with the case.

Investigators are also tracing financial transactions and communication records in an attempt to uncover the broader structure of the alleged drug operation.

Law enforcement agencies say the case highlights ongoing challenges in controlling narcotics distribution in urban areas, where coordinated networks often operate across multiple locations.

Further legal action is expected as evidence is collected and forensic analysis of the recovered substances is completed.

Authorities have reiterated their commitment to continuing operations against drug trafficking networks across the city.
