Firms told to submit data on jobs for disabled within two days

Published on: May 12, 2026 2:14 AM

Acting on Sindh High Court directives regarding employment of persons with disabilities, an important meeting was held at the DC Office Sukkur conference hall on Monday. It was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner Tanveer Ahmed Khattak. Representatives of private companies, mills, factories, private schools, hospitals, banks, mobile phone companies, and petroleum firms attended the meeting in large numbers. ADC Khattak directed all companies, factories, banks, and other institutions to provide complete details of their recruitment policies and employees hired under the five per cent quota reserved for persons with disabilities, in line with SHC orders.

He said institutions, factories, mills, beverage companies, hospitals, and other organisations that had not yet submitted their reports were bound to do so within two days. He added that the district administration would submit the required report before the Sindh High Court Sukkur Bench during the next hearing, in compliance with the court’s directives. Details regarding any exemptions or justifications were already mentioned in the court order, he noted. Representatives of various companies, mills, factories, and private schools also briefed the meeting in detail about employment opportunities and policies for persons with disabilities.
