Shehbaz Sharif discusses economic challenges with Nawaz Sharif

Shehbaz Sharif met his brother and party leader Nawaz Sharif at Jati Umra in Lahore, where both leaders reviewed the country’s current political and economic situation in detail. The meeting focused on governance challenges and broader national conditions affecting public welfare and economic stability.

During the discussion, Shehbaz Sharif briefed Nawaz Sharif on prevailing economic pressures, including inflation trends and recent international developments impacting the country’s financial outlook. He also shared updates on government efforts aimed at stabilising the economy and managing fiscal constraints.

In response, Nawaz Sharif stressed the importance of coordinated policy actions between the federal government and Punjab administration to control inflation and reduce the financial burden on citizens. He emphasised that priority should be given to practical measures that ease daily hardships faced by the public.

Furthermore, both leaders reviewed governance-related issues, with a focus on improving public service delivery and strengthening administrative performance across key sectors. They discussed the need for sustained reforms to ensure long-term economic stability and better management of resources.

The meeting was also attended by Maryam Nawaz Sharif, who participated in discussions related to provincial governance and public welfare initiatives. Her presence highlighted coordination between federal and provincial leadership on key policy matters.
