Aamir Khan gets emotional at son Junaid's 'Ek Din' event

Bollywood actor and producer Aamir Khan was seen getting emotional at a recent promotional event for his son Junaid Khan’s upcoming film Ek Din, as he joined the cast and crew for a special musical evening titled Ek Din Ki Mehfil. The event highlighted the film’s music and offered a preview of its emotional and romantic themes ahead of its theatrical release.

Clips circulating on social media showed Aamir Khan visibly moved during the proceedings, at one point wiping away tears while watching performances and presentations on stage. Seated alongside his son’s co-star Sai Pallavi, who is making her Hindi film debut with Ek Din, Aamir appeared deeply affected by the moment, reflecting a sense of pride and emotion as a father witnessing his son’s professional journey.

During the event, Aamir also expressed admiration for Sai Pallavi, praising her performance and calling her “the best actress we have in our country today.” His remarks received appreciation from the audience, who applauded the cast and the energy of the evening. In a lighter moment, he joked about his son’s performance, saying, “Junaid ne bhi acha kaam kiya hai,” which drew laughter from attendees.

The veteran actor also performed a song from the film on stage, adding a personal touch to the event and further engaging with fans and media present at the venue.

Directed by Sunil Pandey and produced under Aamir Khan Productions in collaboration with Mansoor Khan and Aparna Purohit, Ek Din marks an important project for the Khan family. The film also reunites Aamir Khan with Mansoor Khan after their iconic collaborations on classics such as Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak and Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar.

With Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi in lead roles, Ek Din is scheduled for a theatrical release on May 1, and has already generated significant buzz following its trailer launch.
