In a remarkable display of determination, a 55-year-old man from Muzaffargarh has appeared in the ninth-grade examinations, proving that the pursuit of education knows no age limits. Ghulam Qadir, a father of six and a grade-IV employee in the Irrigation Department, is among the candidates taking exams under the Dera Ghazi Khan Board.

A resident of Sheikh Laddo, Qadir sat alongside much younger students at the Comprehensive School examination center, reflecting his unwavering commitment to completing his education. Despite facing setbacks in the past, including failing the matriculation exams twice, he has not given up on his dream.

Speaking to the media, Qadir shared that his children are educated, which has motivated him to pursue academic success himself. “I want to achieve higher education just like my children,” he said. His last attempt at the exams was 13 years ago in 2013, when he could not pass and was left with a few remaining subjects.

This time, however, Qadir is confident and better prepared. He stated that he has worked hard to improve his performance and is hopeful of clearing the exams successfully. His ambition does not end with matriculation; he plans to continue his studies further by appearing in intermediate examinations once he achieves this milestone.

Qadir’s story serves as an inspiring example for people of all ages, emphasizing that learning is a lifelong journey. His determination highlights the importance of resilience and the belief that it is never too late to follow one’s educational goals.
