Communications minister reviews up-gradation of Murree Expressway

Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan has expressed satisfaction over the completion of the up-gradation work of the Murree Expressway. He has announced the provision of additional facilities including more Rest House on both sides.

During his visit to Murree, Abdul Aleem Khan inspected various sections of the Murree Expressway. He along with NHA authorities inspected on the spot situation of traffic on IMDC particularly at Lower Topa and directed authorities to take immediate measures to further improve traffic flow, there. Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan instructed National Highway Authority officials to ensure modern design of new Roundabout at Lower Topa to ensure better facilities of traffic especially to the visitors. Abdul Aleem Khan stated that the Murree Expressway has been made more beautiful, safe and comfortable than before. He also approved the construction of more Rest Areas along both sides of the Murree Expressway to provide better travel facilities to tourists coming from far-off areas.

While visiting newly constructed Rest Areas and Mosques, Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan emphasized that there should be no compromise on cleanliness, provision of clean drinking water and other basic facilities. He appreciated the availability of separate prayer arrangements for women and stressed maintaining this standard. Abdul Aleem Khan stated that proper follow up of quality facilities must be ensured at all costs.

Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan also directed the NHA to adopt high-quality designs and international-standard facilities in all new development projects. During his visit, citizens traveling also met the Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan at various locations and expressed their appreciation. They shook hands and took photographs with Federal Minister. Abdul Aleem Khan acknowledged that the cooperation of the local population in improving the Murree Expressway is commendable and emphasized the need to further promote such positive collaboration in the future.
