Iran missile attacks injured at least 180 Israelis in the cities of Dimona and Arad, with eight people reported in critical condition. Israeli health authorities confirmed that 116 people were wounded in Arad and 64 in Dimona. Earlier reports also indicated fatalities, while officials noted that warning alerts failed to reach some residents before the strikes.
The attacks were carried out in response to alleged strikes on Iran’s Natanz nuclear facilities. Iranian forces targeted areas near Dimona, which is located about 13 kilometers from a sensitive nuclear site. The strike raised serious concerns due to its proximity to critical infrastructure, increasing fears of further escalation in the conflict.
Defense analysts expressed surprise at the success of the missile strikes near such a heavily protected location. Experts noted that the area is secured by one of the most advanced air defense systems in the region. The ability of missiles to reach targets near this facility has raised questions about the effectiveness of existing defense measures.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guard stated that the balance of power in the conflict is shifting, claiming that Israel’s control over its air defense systems is weakening. The Iran missile attacks on Dimona and Arad have intensified tensions and highlighted growing risks in the region, as both sides continue to exchange strikes and escalate the conflict.
