
The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a nationwide weather alert, forecasting rain, thunderstorms, and snowfall over the next 12 to 24 hours. The advisory warns of potential landslides and urban flooding, urging citizens to exercise caution and preparedness across multiple provinces.
Widespread rainfall accompanied by gusty winds and thunderstorms is expected in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir. Northern mountainous areas may also receive snowfall, increasing risks of landslides and glacial lake outburst floods.

In Azad Kashmir, districts including Muzaffarabad, Neelum Valley, Rawalakot, Bagh, and Mirpur are likely to face heavy rain and strong winds. Gilgit-Baltistan districts such as Gilgit, Skardu, Hunza, and Diamer may see rainfall, while higher elevations could experience snowfall.
Punjab cities including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, and Sialkot are expected to receive rain, while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa may witness thunderstorms and snowfall in mountainous areas such as Swat and Chitral. Sindh cities like Karachi, Hyderabad, and Tharparkar may see intermittent rain and thunderstorms, while Balochistan districts including Quetta, Zhob, and Gwadar face rain and strong winds.

The NDMA warned that key highways including N-50, N-65, and N-70 could be affected by landslides, while urban flooding may disrupt traffic in low-lying areas. Authorities have been directed to remain on high alert, and citizens are advised to avoid unnecessary travel and take precautionary measures.
