Pakistan railways launches four special trains for eid travel

Pakistan Railways has announced the operation of four special trains during the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr holidays to accommodate the rising number of passengers traveling across the country. The initiative aims to ensure smoother travel during one of the busiest festive seasons.

According to officials, the first special train will depart from Lahore to Karachi on March 16, offering passengers a convenient and timely option to reach southern provinces ahead of Eid celebrations. Authorities have urged travelers to book tickets in advance due to high demand.

The second special train is scheduled to leave Quetta for Rawalpindi on March 17, while the third train will run from Karachi to Peshawar on the same day, providing important travel links across provinces.

The fourth Eid train will travel from Karachi to Lahore on March 18, ensuring additional capacity for passengers returning to northern cities after holiday visits. Railway officials emphasized that all trains will operate with full safety and comfort measures for travelers.

Officials explained that the decision to operate special trains stems from the significant rise in passenger traffic during the Eid holidays, as millions of Pakistanis travel to visit family and participate in festive gatherings nationwide.

Passengers are advised to check schedules and follow guidelines issued by Pakistan Railways to ensure a smooth journey. The railway administration said tickets are available online and at stations, and special arrangements have been made for boarding and seating during the holiday period.
