A high-level review meeting on the overall law and order situation in the province was held at the Central Police Office Karachi under the chairmanship of Sindh Home Minister, Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar. The meeting was attended by senior police and security officials, including Javed Alam Odho.
During the meeting, the IGP Sindh briefed the Home Minister in detail on the current security situation, potential threats, and ongoing measures. The comprehensive security plan and preventive strategies were thoroughly reviewed. The Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar directed that Intelligence Reports (IRs) related to border areas be made purposeful and effective to ensure peace and stability. He emphasized that proactive strategies should be developed on the basis of these reports to counter potential threats. He further instructed that a coordinated and comprehensive strategy be formulated to curb banned organizations, sectarianism, and militancy. Security of all key locations, including sensitive installations, must be ensured at an extraordinary level.
Keeping in view possible terrorist threats, the Home Minister stressed the need to fully secure entry and exit points and to ensure foolproof security of mosques, madrasas, and imambargahs in consultation with their respective administrations.
