
GUJRAT — Vice Chancellor University of Gujrat, Prof. Dr Zahoor-ul-Haq (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz), inaugurated the new Bank of Punjab branch at UoG’s Hafiz Hayat Campus on Wednesday.
Speaking at the ceremony, he appreciated the bank’s services for students and faculty.
“Financial institutions play a vital role in national economic growth,” he emphasized, adding that BOP and UoG have long been partners in facilitating students, with the branch introducing an online fee payment system enabling 20,000 students to pay via mobile app.
Regional Business Head BOP Muhammad Amin Dogar and Country Head BOP Nadeem Arif Butt also attended, along with branch managers and officers from Gujrat.
Branch Manager Hassan Khalid said that BOP is the first bank branch at Hafiz Hayat Campus, committed to providing fast and quality services. Earlier, senior BOP officials met the Vice Chancellor to discuss avenues for further collaboration between the university and the bank.
