Balochistan under attack: 99 terrorists killed, 10 officials martyred

Published on: January 31, 2026 5:30 PM

Pakistan’s security forces killed 99 terrorists while foiling coordinated attacks across 12 locations in Balochistan. Ten security personnel were martyred, and five civilians from a labourer’s family also lost their lives. Officials said swift operations prevented large-scale civilian harm and neutralized fleeing militants.

The attacks were carried out by Fitna-ul-Hindustan, targeting multiple districts overnight. Security forces responded quickly, killing 58 militants in the latest engagements. Operations included ground actions and air strikes, and major material losses were reported for the terrorists. Forces continue pursuit operations to eliminate remaining threats.

Tragically, five members of a Baloch labourer family in Khuzdar were killed, including a woman and three children. Authorities condemned the targeting of civilians, calling it a stark reminder of the militants’ brutality. Security officials emphasized that these sacrifices prevented even larger loss of life.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the armed forces and paid tribute to the ten martyred personnel. He vowed to continue the fight against terrorism until all threats are eliminated. Federal ministers Abdul Aleem Khan and Mohsin Naqvi also lauded the forces’ bravery, calling the martyrs heroes of the nation.

Officials warned that militants remain active, but intelligence-based operations continue across Balochistan. The army and law enforcement agencies remain fully engaged, prioritizing civilian protection and the elimination of terrorist networks.
