ThinkFest dialogues draw global attention, projecting Pakistan’s positive cultural narrative

Published on: January 26, 2026 1:04 AM

Executive Director Lahore Arts Council Alhamra, Muhammad Nawaz Gondal, has stated that the ongoing Think Fest “Afkar-e-Taza” at Alhamra is attracting significant attention not only from across Pakistan but also from the international community, owing to the depth, relevance and quality of its intellectual dialogues.

He expressed these views during his meeting with the Canadian High Commissioner, Tariq Ali Khan, where matters related to literature, culture and cross-cultural engagement were discussed in detail. On the occasion, a commemorative souvenir was presented to the High Commissioner on behalf of Alhamra.

The Executive Director emphasised that Alhamra has ensured full institutional support for the festival, recognising ThinkFest as a major international intellectual gathering. He stated that, keeping the festival’s global stature in mind, the Alhamra administration provided a well-organised, dignified and welcoming environment throughout the event. All preparations across Alhamra’s main building, multiple halls and outdoor areas were completed on time, ensuring that guests experienced facilities of international standards.

Muhammad Nawaz Gondal further noted that special attention was given to cleanliness, security, discipline and all administrative arrangements, with the objective that international delegates and participants return to their countries carrying positive memories, refined cultural impressions and a sense of warmth associated with Lahore Arts Council Alhamra. He added that such experiences help leave a lasting, bright, and positive image of Alhamra in the minds of global visitors.

Highlighting the broader cultural significance of the institution, the Executive Director said that Alhamra is not merely a building, but a living reflection of Pakistan’s civilisation, culture, arts, languages, literature and historical values. Through international platforms like Think Fest, Alhamra’s identity is reaching the world, strengthening Pakistan’s narrative as a peaceful, cultured and intellectually vibrant nation. He noted that such forums play a vital role in projecting the country’s positive image and goodwill globally.

Concluding his remarks, Muhammad Nawaz Gondal reaffirmed that the Alhamra administration will continue to extend full cooperation to organise international-standard festivals in the future, with the vision of establishing Lahore Arts Council Alhamra as a central hub for global intellectual and cultural activities.
