Made in Pakistan-SME Expo draws holiday crowd

Published on: January 26, 2026 12:55 AM

A large number of people visited the second day of Made in Pakistan – SME Cluster Showcase Expo 2026, organised by SMEDA, Ministry of Industries and Production at Lahore Expo Centre on Sunday.

The visitors showed keen interest in pavilions showcasing SME products from all over the country. More than 150 exhibitor stalls offering a wide range of products related to apparel, cutlery, furniture, honey, handicraft etc., showcased their products.

SMEDA CEO Nadia Jahangir Seth took round of stalls in Hall 2 and 3 and interacted with the exhibitors. She commended the spirit and resilience of the entrepreneurs, and assured them of helping them overcome the barriers they face. She especially lauded Haider Suleman, who set up a stall of cutlery goods. She said SMEDA is proud of Haider who at a tender age has shown entrepreneurial spirit and become part of this national platform.

Nadia Jahangir Seth also visited stalls of women entrepreneurs and assured them of SMEDA’s all-out support in ensuring their products visibility and business improvement.

In a media briefing, she said it’s for the first time diverse SME clusters from all over Pakistan have come together on a single national platform.

She said foreign dignitaries graced the event on the second day and SMEDA was thankful to them.

Representatives of the Expo sponsors – HBL, Bank Al Habib, Bank of Punjab and Pak Suzuki Motors briefed the visitors on the products and SME support they are offering.

A symposium on Digital Finance and Fintech for SMEs and panel discussions were also held.

The event will conclude on Monday (tomorrow) with an array of activities.
