Last year, 2.324 million patients were provided medical facilities without any slip fee in the emergency and outdoor departments of the General Hospital here.
This was stated in an annual report by noted Professor Dr. Farooq Afzal, while releasing the annual performance report of the hospital. He said that a significant increase of 365000 patients was recorded compared to 2024.
He appreciated the performance of Dr. Anam Batool for preparing transparent records of patients referred from other hospitals. MS Dr. Farid was also present on the occasion. It may be noted that despite significant initiatives by the Punjab Government, the Lahore General Hospital (LGH) is dealing with an exceptionally high patient load, with its administration and departments managing overcrowding of the patients.
