ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) on Saturday announced temporary traffic diversions on Srinagar Highway to manage traffic flow in the city. The diversions will be in effect from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and motorists have been advised to plan their travel accordingly.

According to an official statement, the diversions are aimed at ensuring smooth movement of vehicles during daytime hours. ITP urged citizens to use alternative routes including IJP Road, Iran Avenue, Islamabad Expressway, and inner-city service roads.

The traffic police also recommended that commuters allow an additional 20 to 25 minutes for their journeys to avoid delays. Officers will be deployed along affected routes to guide traffic and assist commuters, ensuring safety and minimizing congestion.

Officials emphasized that the temporary measures are part of routine traffic management efforts in the federal capital, particularly during peak hours or special events. The police assured residents that all necessary arrangements have been made to reduce inconvenience.

Citizens were requested to follow instructions from on-ground police personnel and adhere to traffic rules while the diversions are in place. The authorities also encouraged the use of public transport or alternate routes to help ease congestion on Srinagar Highway.
