The prime minister chaired a review meeting on proposed civil service reforms and performance evaluation systems for ministries. He directed that a comprehensive and effective system be developed to assess federal secretaries. Officials showing good performance must be recognized to encourage overall improvement.

Sharif instructed the committee to prepare actionable, evolutionary, and inclusive reform recommendations quickly. The focus will include officers’ promotions, financial incentives, and benefits based on merit and performance. Consultation with all civil service stakeholders will ensure well-rounded recommendations.
He stressed that civil service reforms should ensure efficient governance, public welfare, and measurable improvement in citizens’ daily lives. According to Sharif, a strong civil service underpins economic stability, social harmony, and national development. The reforms are a top government priority for sustainable progress.
