Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Friday said that at the beginning of the new year, the Pink bus service was launched for women and female students in Balochistan at the beginning of the new year which is a positive sign for them. He said this in his message on the social networking site X.
The CM said that the Pink bus service aims to make the daily movement of women and female students safe and dignified.
“The government’s priority is to continue the Pink bus service permanently”, he noted and added that in the next phase, the scope of the Pink bus service would be expanded to other districts to facilitate women.
The CM said that the Pink bus service would provide women with easy access to education, employment and health facilities in the area.
He said that a safe transport system for women is an important part of the provincial government’s reform agenda, saying that a series of practical steps are underway to empower women in Balochistan.
