
Pakistan has approved Norse Atlantic to launch direct flights to Islamabad, marking a major aviation development. The airline will operate services from London, Manchester, and Birmingham. Officials say the move strengthens air links with the United Kingdom.
Aviation Minister Khawaja Asif announced the decision through social media. He said growing international airline presence will improve service quality. As a result, passengers may benefit from competitive fares and more travel options.

Meanwhile, Pakistan International Airlines will restart Islamabad to London flights on March 29. The route remained suspended for six years due to operational issues. PIA flights will operate from Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 4.
In addition, the government has completed partial privatization of PIA. It sold a 75 percent stake for Rs135 billion. This step ends years of stalled reforms of the loss making national carrier.
