Sources familiar with the investigation said the JIT report has clearly identified police officials responsible for negligence during the initial stages of the case. A member of the investigation team stated that while responsibility has been fixed, the final decision regarding disciplinary action and punishment now lies with the KP government.
Speaking to the media, Ishaq Zakaria said the JIT had concluded that Rida Jadun was the principal accused in the murder. He added that the report contains specific recommendations for punishment, proportionate to the level of culpability of each police officer found negligent in the handling of the case.
Zakaria further revealed that Shamrez, one of the accused, was a hired assassin. According to evidence gathered by the JIT, Rida and her husband, Haider, remained in contact with Shamrez through mobile phones registered in the names of their employees, suggesting a coordinated effort to conceal direct links.

The submission of the JIT report is being seen as a crucial step toward accountability, both for those directly involved in the crime and for officials accused of failing in their duties. Attention has now shifted to the KP government, which is expected to review the findings and decide on further legal and administrative action in line with the recommendations.
