WWE Raw closes 2025 with title matches and new champions

Published on: December 31, 2025 2:35 PM

WWE Raw ended the year on a high note as the final episode of 2025 delivered major title action, intense rivalries, and new champions crowned before the show went off the air.

The night opened with a dramatic triple threat match for the WWE Women’s Championship, as Stephanie Vaquer defended her title against Raquel Rodriguez and Nikki Bella. Rodriguez dominated large portions with her power, while Bella relied on speed and ring awareness to stay competitive. Vaquer weathered the storm and capitalised on a crucial opening, pinning Bella to retain her championship.

Tensions escalated after the match when Asuka and Kairi Sane confronted Vaquer in the ring. The situation quickly turned chaotic until Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY intervened, evening the odds and teasing major confrontations in the weeks ahead.

Gunther then continued his dominant run with a decisive submission victory over R-Truth. The match was largely one-sided, with Gunther overpowering his opponent and reinforcing his status as one of Raw’s most imposing forces.

Rey Mysterio faced Austin Theory in a fast-paced contest that was closely watched by Logan Paul at ringside. Just as Rey prepared to finish the match, Paul interfered, tripping the veteran and causing a disqualification. The post-match assault by Theory and Paul was halted when Penta rushed in to make the save.

A heated verbal exchange between Becky Lynch and Maxxine Dupri followed, with both women trading sharp words. Lynch downplayed Dupri’s recent success, while Dupri reminded her rival of a previous submission victory, forcing security to step in.

In the main event, AJ Styles and Dragon Lee defended the WWE World Tag Team Championships against The Usos. After a thrilling back-and-forth battle, Jey Uso secured the pinfall, crowning The Usos as the new champions. Raw ended with The Usos celebrating as the final image of 2025.
