Islamabad, Pakistan – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Tuesday that the government is ready for talks with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) if the party engages in genuine negotiations. He stressed that no discussions will take place under illegal demands or blackmail.
Speaking at a cabinet meeting, the premier reiterated that dialogue must follow legal and constitutional norms. PTI members have been invited to participate in constructive discussions within the parliamentary framework. “If they are ready, the Government of Pakistan is definitely ready,” he said, emphasizing harmony among political parties for the country’s progress.

Separately, the premier marked a milestone in the privatization of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). He said sealed bids were received and the auction is being conducted publicly to ensure fairness. Shehbaz praised the cabinet members, including the Deputy PM, Defence Minister, and Finance Minister, for overseeing a transparent process in what he called Pakistan’s largest transaction.
