The attack comes amid a rise in terrorist incidents in KP and Balochistan following the end of the ceasefire between the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and the government in 2022. Security forces and law enforcement personnel have been repeatedly targeted, with several high-profile attacks occurring across the region in recent months.
