Fans divided over Fawad, Mahira’s ‘Neelofar’ premiere

Published on: November 30, 2025 3:24 PM

The much-anticipated film Neelofar, starring Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan, premiered in Lahore on November 28, 2025, drawing crowds of excited fans and industry figures eager to witness the reunion of the Humsafar pair.

During interviews, the cast emphasized that Neelofar carries a meaningful message about love and relationships, portraying the complexities and emotional depth of human connections in a poetic cinematic style.

Audience reactions, however, have been mixed. While many praised Fawad and Mahira’s performances and professionalism, others criticised the film’s pacing, script, and narrative, stating it relied heavily on star power rather than a strong storyline.

Some viewers appreciated the slow-burn romance and the nostalgic feel, noting that the film delivered visually appealing sequences and showcased Lahore’s historical architecture and colourful streets in a cinematic way.

Conversely, critics felt the chemistry between the leads fell short of the magic seen in Humsafar, calling parts of the film directionless and emotionally disconnected, leaving some scenes unconvincing despite the actors’ efforts.

Fawad and Mahira’s screen presence, dedication to the characters, and commitment to emotional arcs received praise, with fans highlighting the city’s charm and cinematography as a visual highlight that enhanced the storytelling experience.
