
In Bannu, Pakistan, a deadly clash left three terrorists dead and five police officers injured, officials said. The Bannu attack began Thursday night when militants targeted Ahmadzai police station with light and heavy weapons. Police responded quickly, repelling the attackers and preventing further damage.
During the exchange, five policemen – Qudratullah, Anwar, Ihsanullah, Rahmanullah, and Mohammad Arafat – sustained minor injuries. Authorities found blood traces and seized hand grenades, arms, and ammunition at the scene. Reinforcements from nearby stations quickly arrived, securing the area.

Two attackers’ bodies were found near the station in the morning. Militants tried to retrieve them but faced police and tribesmen near Tarkhey Oba. An intense gunfight forced the assailants to retreat, officials said.
The police later recovered a third terrorist’s body during search operations. The Ahmadzai police station suffered extensive damage from heavy firing during the attack. Authorities continued monitoring the area to prevent further incidents.

Meanwhile, in Lower Dir, militants killed a woman, Bakht Zadgai, during an attack on the Korai Scouts base. Officials confirmed her death amid TTP-linked firing. The Bannu attack highlights ongoing security challenges in the region.
