Sindh Assembly unanimously approved a resolution condemning statements by India’s Defense Minister about the province. Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah called the remarks “baseless and unacceptable.” He emphasized that Sindh has always been an integral part of Pakistan and its waters will remain protected.
Shah told the Assembly that India’s minister is frustrated and spreading false claims. He highlighted Sindh’s ancient history and said the province existed long before the Common Era. He reminded lawmakers of the sacrifices made by Pakistan’s founders and the province’s critical role in the country’s formation.

The resolution emphasized that no one outside Sindh can claim authority over its territory or rivers. Shah said Pakistan will present the resolution internationally to highlight India’s attempts to control the Indus River. Lawmakers condemned the threat and reaffirmed Sindh’s unity with Pakistan.
Shah criticized India’s minister personally, saying his claims were “mentally unsound” and politically motivated. He stressed that Sindh’s rivers are national assets and cannot be used as instruments of aggression. The Assembly underlined the importance of regional peace and provincial sovereignty.

The session concluded with proceedings postponed until Thursday at 10 a.m. Officials said the unanimous resolution sends a strong message of resistance. The decision reflects Sindh Assembly’s commitment to protecting the province and defending Pakistan’s integrity.
