Shehbaz pushes new economic partnership with Bahrain

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan is ready to expand economic cooperation with Bahrain. He delivered this message during his visit to Manama. He stressed that both nations must turn strong relations into practical economic gains.

Shehbaz Sharif told the Bahraini business community that Pakistan and Bahrain share deep cultural and religious ties. He said these ties rest on mutual trust and long friendship. Moreover, he noted that his visit aims to strengthen cooperation across major sectors. He added that recent talks between both sides were warm and productive.

The prime minister highlighted Pakistan’s desire to boost collaboration in trade, agriculture, IT, and emerging technologies. He said both countries can explore new business opportunities together. Furthermore, he urged Bahraini investors to study Pakistan’s growing market. He stated that Pakistanis working in Bahrain already contribute strongly to local industries.

Shehbaz Sharif also stressed Pakistan’s youth potential and its growing focus on IT and AI training. He said that 60 percent of Pakistan’s population is between 15 and 30. Additionally, he expressed interest in learning from Bahrain’s global experience. He invited Bahraini partners to expand knowledge exchange programs.

Bahrain’s Finance Minister Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa welcomed the visit and praised the countries’ historical ties. He said the trip would renew and energize bilateral relations. Meanwhile, Shehbaz Sharif thanked Bahrain for its warm reception. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to stronger economic and diplomatic engagement.
