Published on: November 25, 2025 8:00 PM

Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal inaugurated the third International Food and Agriculture Exhibition, FoodAg 2025, at Karachi’s Expo Centre on Tuesday. The three-day event brings together over 500 exhibitors and more than 850 international buyers from over 80 countries. The theme of the exhibition is “Harvesting Innovation, Cultivating Sustainability.”

After the opening, Minister Kamal toured the halls, interacting with exhibitors and viewing a wide range of products. He said Pakistan’s trade potential is gaining global recognition, and Pakistani companies are advancing rapidly despite economic challenges. Kamal highlighted government measures supporting exporters, including reduced electricity tariffs, lower interest rates, and the abolition of the EFS surcharge. He noted that new Free Trade Agreements with the GCC have been approved and trade cooperation with the United States and the United Kingdom continues to expand. Pakistan is also accessing new African markets and has held successful single-country exhibitions there.

FoodAg 2025 showcases cutting-edge advancements in food production, processing, and exports. The Global Cuisine Show 2025 features over 350 Pakistani exporters displaying premium Basmati rice, dehydrated mangoes, kinnows, dates, Himalayan pink salt, seafood, halal meat, dairy products, spices, and value-added foods to a record international buyer delegation.
