A Chinese humanoid robot has entered the Guinness World Records after completing a three-day, 100-kilometre walk, marking the longest distance ever covered by a two-legged machine.
The 169-centimetre AgiBot A2 started its journey from Suzhou on November 10 and arrived at Shanghai’s historic Bund area on November 13, successfully navigating both highways and busy city streets.

Shanghai-based AgiBot said the robot followed traffic regulations while traversing varied surfaces during its continuous 106.286-kilometre trek, which was officially certified as the first achievement of its kind on Thursday.
Video footage released by the company shows the silver-and-black A2 walking past cyclists and scooters before marching along the Bund, demonstrating impressive stability and control in urban environments.
Experts say this milestone reflects growing global investment in physical AI. Morgan Stanley predicts that more than a billion humanoid robots could be in use worldwide by 2050, highlighting the rapid industry expansion.
