The Japanese Consul General (CG) in Karachi Hattori Masaru on Saturday said that Pakistan and Japan have good relations which would improve further by time. While talking to APP, after a performance of Nostalgic Japanese songs (Soprano Recital) organized by Pakistan Japan Cultural Association (JPCA) Sindh in collaboration with the Consulate General of Japan to Karachi at Japan Information and Culture Centre, he said that the purpose of today’s event was to highlight Japanese culture and to bring closer the people of the two nations. Praising the Japanese artist, a Soprano and Osaka College of Music graduate, Junko Matsuoka, the Consul General said that Matsuoka had continued to bridge Japanese traditional music and western classical repertoire, inspiring audiences and promoting cultural exchange. Talking on the occasion, President, Pakistan-Japan Cultural Association (PJCA) Sindh Sadia Rashid said that PJCA had kept organizing such musical events in collaboration with the Japanese consulate. She said that they tried to bring our people at one platform through cultural programs. Earlier, Japanese artists, Junko Matsuoka sang nostalgic Japanese songs. Other Japanese artists also beautifully performed in the event, by singing Japanese and Pakistani songs by engaging the audience.
