
Toronto: Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Canada, Muhammad Saleem, said the Pakistani business community is acting as a bridge between the two countries’ economies. He highlighted that trade and investment opportunities exist across all sectors in Pakistan, which is moving steadily toward growth and development.
Speaking at the annual conference of the Pakistani business organization “OPEN,” Saleem emphasized the role of entrepreneurs and investors in strengthening bilateral economic relations. He noted that the High Commission and Pakistan’s three consulates in Canada are ready to fully support the business community.

The conference was attended by Consul General of Pakistan in Toronto, Khalil Bajwa, and Trade and Investment Counsellor Altamash Janjua. They joined Saleem in encouraging Canadian-Pakistani entrepreneurs to explore opportunities in Pakistan.
Over 100 Pakistani-origin businesspeople, executives, investors, and professionals from across Canada participated in the OPEN annual event. Saleem praised their contributions to promoting trade, investment, and economic cooperation between the two countries.

He concluded by urging the community to continue acting as a bridge, leveraging their networks and expertise to enhance Pakistan-Canada economic relations. The event also focused on future opportunities in key Pakistani sectors.
