At the United Nations, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative Asim Iftikhar called for immediate diplomacy and dialogue to halt the conflict. He stressed the urgent need for restraint, patience, and negotiation to protect civilians.
Iftikhar condemned attacks on civilian infrastructure, calling them violations of international law. He said the destruction of homes, hospitals, and services worsens the humanitarian crisis and hinders peace efforts. Pakistan emphasized that civilian protection must remain a top priority.
