Punjab Inspector General of Police Dr Usman Anwar directed that Rescue 1122, the fire brigade, and all relevant agencies be provided full support. He also instructed traffic police to ensure clear access to the site for emergency vehicles.
The blast follows a similar incident in April last year when a steam boiler exploded at a Faisalabad textile mill, injuring a dozen workers and collapsing part of the factory roof. Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the current explosion.
