The Punjab Home Department has granted Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) permission to hold a religious and reformative gathering at Minar-e-Pakistan from November 21 to 23 under strict security conditions.

The event received targeted relaxation in Section 144 following recommendations from the district administration and the deputy commissioner, ensuring compliance with existing laws while allowing the gathering to take place.

Organisers must adhere to all rules issued by authorities, including separate enclosures for men and women, emergency routes, stage security, and compliance with Special Branch audit standards for safety.

To prevent crowding or stampedes, sufficient parking and volunteers will be arranged, and children below a certain age will not be allowed to attend the event to maintain safety measures.

Authorities also prohibited speeches against constitutional institutions, the judiciary, or armed forces, and banned provocative slogans, weapons, mobile announcements, wall chalking, and any content insulting religious groups or sects.

Police will oversee complete security throughout the gathering, while organisers have submitted an affidavit accepting full responsibility for any untoward incidents, ensuring a peaceful and orderly event at the historic venue.
