Pakistan-Germany bilateral negotiations yield €114 mln development package

ISLAMABAD: The Governments of Pakistan and Germany successfully concluded the 2025 Pakistan-Germany Bilateral Negotiations on Development Cooperation in Islamabad. The talks were co-chaired by Muhammad Humair Karim, Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, and Christine Toetzke, Director-General of Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). Ambassadors Ina Lepel and Saqlain Syeda also participated, underscoring the strong bilateral ties between the two nations.

Germany announced a financial and technical commitment of €114 million for 2025–26, targeting climate and energy initiatives, sustainable economic development, vocational training, and social protection programs.
