COAS Munir Praised by Jordan King for Pakistan’s Security Role

Published on: October 27, 2025 7:06 PM

Jordan’s King Abdullah II praised the Pakistan military for its contributions to regional peace and security during a meeting with COAS Field Marshal Asim Munir in Amman. Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II was also present. Both leaders discussed strengthening bilateral defence and security cooperation, shared perspectives on regional developments, and explored ways to expand strategic partnerships.

The king lauded Pakistan’s professionalism and its role in stabilizing conflict-prone regions. He expressed interest in further defence collaboration, while COAS Munir conveyed warm regards from Pakistan’s people, government, and military. The army chief also reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to deepening fraternal ties with the Hashemite Kingdom.

Munir also met Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Huneiti, Chairman of Jordan Armed Forces Joint Chiefs. The Jordanian official recognized Pakistan’s efforts in peacekeeping and regional security. Both sides highlighted their historic military ties and agreed to enhance training and intelligence exchanges between their armed forces.

The visit follows COAS Munir’s tour of Egypt, where he met President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi. There, they stressed the need for stronger strategic coordination and broader cooperation in security, technology, and economic sectors. Analysts say these engagements underscore Pakistan’s active role in regional diplomacy.
