
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has invited Qatari investors to explore new avenues of cooperation under Pakistan’s Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC). The invitation came during his meeting with Qatar’s Minister of Commerce and Industry, Sheikh Faisal bin Thani Al Thani, who is visiting Pakistan to co-chair the Pakistan-Qatar Joint Ministerial Commission session. Both sides discussed ways to strengthen bilateral trade, investment, and economic cooperation.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Sharif expressed satisfaction over the positive direction of Pakistan-Qatar relations. He praised Qatar as an important partner and an influential regional mediator. The Prime Minister highlighted Pakistan’s investor-friendly policies and emphasized cooperation in energy, agriculture, food security, information technology, tourism, and infrastructure development.

Sheikh Faisal bin Thani conveyed the goodwill of the Qatari leadership and reaffirmed Qatar’s commitment to deepening economic ties with Pakistan. The discussions reflected a shared interest in unlocking the untapped potential across key economic sectors.
Prime Minister Sharif appreciated Qatar’s continued support on regional and global issues. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s desire to enhance cooperation with Qatar in regional and multilateral forums. The meeting underscored the importance of collaboration between the two countries to ensure sustainable development and mutual prosperity.
