
Pakistan has strongly condemned India’s systematic persecution of minorities at the United Nations, accusing it of promoting extremist nationalism under the guise of patriotism.
Addressing a UN session on minority issues, Pakistan’s Counsellor Saima Saleem highlighted the alarming rise of Islamophobia and extremist ideologies in India. She stated that attacks on places of worship and open calls for genocide have become disturbingly common, reflecting state policies rooted in hatred against minorities.

Saima Saleem warned that India’s extremist, state-driven policies threaten regional and international peace. She urged the global community to hold accountable those responsible for atrocities against minorities in India.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace and dialogue. Speaking at the second Trilateral Summit in Lachin, Azerbaijan, he expressed willingness to resolve all bilateral issues with India through sincere negotiations.

The prime minister also referred to India’s recent aggression, emphasizing Pakistan’s resilience and the united response of its people, armed forces, and allies.
