
ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday invited Qatari investors to explore new avenues of collaboration under Pakistan’s Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) framework.
The invitation came during a meeting with Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani, Qatar’s Minister of Trade and Industry, who is in Pakistan for the sixth session of the Pakistan-Qatar Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC). Both leaders expressed satisfaction with the growing bilateral relations between the two countries.

PM Shehbaz highlighted the shared values, mutual respect, and common faith that strengthen Pakistan-Qatar ties and acknowledged Qatar’s role as a key regional mediator and partner. The discussion focused on potential cooperation in sectors including energy, agriculture, food security, information technology, tourism, and infrastructure development.

Sheikh Faisal reaffirmed Qatar’s commitment to deepening economic ties with Pakistan, noting that the JMC session provided a platform to review ongoing collaboration and identify new initiatives. Both leaders agreed to maintain close communication, promote business-to-business links, and facilitate investment projects to transform shared understanding into tangible outcomes.
