PESHAWAR – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi announced that the formation of the provincial cabinet will be finalized only after his meeting with PTI founder Imran Khan. He said the consultation would take place at Adiala Jail, where Imran Khan is currently detained, and all final names would be approved under his guidance.
Sohail Afridi said the list of cabinet members has not yet been finalized. “We are still evaluating different names, and the final decision will be made after I meet Chairman Imran Khan,” he stated. The chief minister emphasized that all appointments would reflect the party’s priorities and ensure effective governance across the province.

Responding to a question about the possible inclusion of Barrister Saif and Muzzammil Aslam in the cabinet, Sohail Afridi clarified that Imran Khan had not issued any specific instructions so far. He added that their potential roles would be discussed during the upcoming meeting. “Every cabinet position will be based on merit, loyalty, and the party’s strategic goals,” he added.
When asked about reports of a protest movement in November, the chief minister said his immediate focus is on administrative and developmental matters. He noted that political decisions and protest strategies will be determined by the party leadership and KP President Junaid Akbar. “My duty is to implement the policies and decisions taken by the leadership,” he said.
