Heavy rains in Mexico have caused deadly floods and landslides, leaving nearly 130 people dead or missing. She also promised to visit the most affected regions soon. Civil protection coordinator Laura Velazquez confirmed that Hidalgo and Veracruz suffered the worst impact. Veracruz reported 29 deaths and 18 missing people, while Hidalgo had 21 deaths and 43 missing.
Bridges, roads, and entire neighborhoods were damaged by the heavy rains in Mexico. Videos showed rescuers wading through waist-deep water to reach trapped residents. Emergency teams are working day and night to evacuate families and deliver aid. Thousands of workers are helping clean up mud-filled streets and restore essential services.
