Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz praised Pakistan’s agreement with Saudi Arabia as a spiritual honor during a ceremony in Lahore. She warmly welcomed the Pakistan-Saudi Business Council delegation, calling the relationship more than political or economic—it is rooted in faith and brotherhood. Maryam Nawaz expressed gratitude in Arabic and said hosting Saudi guests was a proud moment for Pakistan.
She recalled her personal ties to Saudi Arabia, sharing how her family lived in Jeddah for seven years during General Musharraf’s era. She also praised Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for his leadership and vision that has propelled Saudi Arabia forward. Maryam Nawaz highlighted that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia’s ties are eternal and that protecting the Two Holy Mosques is a sacred duty for Pakistanis.

The Chief Minister welcomed Prince Mansoor bin Muhammad bin Saad Al Saud, the head of the Saudi delegation, describing him as a close friend of Pakistan. She noted that recent cooperation agreements signed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have strengthened trust between the countries. Punjab is eager to boost trade and investments with Saudi partners across many sectors.
Prince Mansoor announced strong Saudi interest in investing in Punjab’s dairy, livestock, and meat processing industries. He also mentioned plans to explore tourism, housing, minerals, semiconductors, airports, and pharmaceuticals. The prince shared Saudi Arabia’s advanced housing technology and a plan to build one million houses in Punjab.

He further expressed interest in IT and healthcare collaborations and thanked Maryam Nawaz for her warm hospitality. Both sides emphasized deepening economic ties and mutual growth opportunities to benefit Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
