Saudi prince calls Punjab a key investment hub

Punjab holds great importance for investment, said Saudi Prince Mansoor bin Mohammed during a visit to Lahore. He urged Saudi investors to come to Pakistan much earlier. The prince praised Punjab’s fertile lands and promising investment opportunities. He emphasized strong partnership potential in IT, health, housing, and tourism sectors. The prince mentioned plans for building one million homes in Punjab, highlighting long-term collaboration.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz welcomed the Saudi delegation and highlighted the strong bonds between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. She said Makkah and Madinah are more precious than life itself. Maryam Nawaz also recalled her years in Jeddah during exile, saying she knows the city as well as Lahore. She praised the defense agreements and said the Punjab government works on modern development lines.

Maryam Nawaz assured Saudi investors that Punjab offers excellent facilities under a one-window system. She stated that Punjab is the backbone of Pakistan’s economic growth. She said the province is rich with opportunities in agriculture, livestock, industry, and infrastructure. She thanked the Saudi leadership for their trust in Pakistan. She promised to elevate ties with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.

The Saudi prince expressed strong commitment to investing in Punjab and called the current phase a new era between the two countries. He noted the importance of Punjab’s partnership for Saudi investment. He encouraged investors to take advantage of opportunities in the region. He said cooperation in health, IT, housing, and tourism sectors will grow further.

The meeting signaled deepening economic and strategic ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Both sides showed eagerness to enhance trade and investment flows. The Punjab government promised to facilitate investors and boost provincial development. This cooperation aims to strengthen the economies and friendship of both nations in the years ahead.
