Over 50 Pakistani Firms Exhibit at ANUGA 2025

Over 50 Pakistani firms showcase food, agro products at Germany trade fair

ISLAMABAD— More than 50 Pakistani companies are participating in ANUGA 2025, the world’s largest food and beverage trade fair, being held in Cologne, Germany, from October 4 to 8, showcasing Pakistan’s expanding footprint in the global agro-food industry.

The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) has established a Pakistan Pavilion at the event to promote the country’s agricultural strengths, food-processing advancements, and compliance with international standards. “The pavilion highlights Pakistan’s diverse offerings, including rice, processed foods, pink salt, fruit juices, and other value-added agro products,” said Hina Tahir, Deputy Director at TDAP.

ANUGA 2025 brings together nearly 8,000 exhibitors from 110 countries and is expected to attract over 140,000 visitors from 200 nations, offering unparalleled exposure to global markets.

According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), Pakistan’s agro and food exports rose by 1.62pc to $5.75 billion during the first nine months of FY2024–25, up from $5.66bn in the same period last year. The 2023–24 fiscal year saw a historic milestone with agro exports reaching $8 billion, marking a 37pc increase over the previous year.

Out of 54 Pakistani firms, 34 are exhibiting at the official pavilion, while others are participating privately. The companies are engaging in business matchmaking sessions, sector-focused networking events, and partnership talks with buyers from Europe, the Middle East, and other regions. “This integrated strategy seeks to attract foreign investment, foster bilateral trade partnerships, and position Pakistan as a competitive supplier and growing regional agro-business hub,” Ms. Tahir noted.

TDAP is also using the ANUGA platform to promote Pakistan’s International Food and Agriculture Exhibition (FoodAg 2025), scheduled for November 25–27 in Karachi, aimed at consolidating Pakistan’s image as a major agro-food exporter in regional and global markets.
