An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Monday issued arrest warrants against former speaker national assembly Asad Qaiser in a case pertaining to the judicial complex attack case. ATC Judge Tahir Abbas Sapra issued a bailable heard the case and issued bailable arrest warrants. During the hearing of the case, the applications for exemption from appearance of PTI leaders Pervaiz Elahi, Asad Umar and Shibli Faraz were accepted. Advocate Sardar Muhammad Razaq appeared in the court on behalf of Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, while other PTI leaders were represented by Sardar Muhammad Shubhishek Khan, Amina Ali and other lawyers. Separately, lawyer Sher Afzal Murawat challenged the application of anti-terrorism laws against PTI leaders in FIR registered by Sangjani police station related to the protest of October 4. He took the position that Section 7 of the ATA does not apply in this case. On this, the court remarked that you file an application, it will take notice. Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Tahir Abbas Sapra heard the case. During hearing, Sher Afzal Marwat filed a petition regarding jurisdiction in which he took the position that the terrorism section does not apply in the case, after which the court adjourned the hearing.
